A Tunbridge Ware stamp box with a Queen Victoria Penny Red stamp applied within a border of ladder banding. This box is an unusual example by Edmund Nye. Based on the design of boxes he made in the 1840's this dates to circa 1860. Impressed on the base is an oval mark reading 'Edmund Nye, Manufacturer, Tunbridge Wells'.
