A whitewood circular pincushion in the form of a basket with carrying handles. The frieze is painted with a continuous floral garland and it has a paper label applied reading 'Forget Me Not'. The pincushion is covered in pink velvet.
Circa 1820.
Paper labels with mottos applied to Tunbridge Ware in the early years of the 19th century are usually attributed to Jasper Sprange, a printer who worked in Tunbridge Wells in the late 18th and early 19th centuries.
