A coromandel veneered perfume bottle box with perspective cubes to the lid and a foliage scroll border to the frieze. Attributed to Thomas Barton. Contains two glass perfume bottles.

Circa 1870

The decoration on this box is typical of Thomas Barton's work. He particularly favoured using ebony and coromandel as background veneers.
