A small jewellery or trinket box veneered in coromandel with a panel of perspective cubes to the lid and with a floral border to the frieze. The interior lined in green velvet with a ring compartment. Circular label for Thomas Barton on the base.
The cube work is a typical Barton panel, showing a range of veneers with a centrally place square of green oak. An unusual small size box from Thomas Barton.
Circa 1870.
