A rare octagonal Tunbridge Ware coin holder inlaid with miniature parquetry on all sides. Housed inside is a circular removable tube with an opening allowing for coins to be inserted. The internal diameter of the tube is approximately 17mm, which should take silver threepences, which were produced for most years of Queen Victoria's reign. Only the second example of this design that we have owned.
Circa 1850.
