A Tunbridge Ware cabinet veneered in ebony and inlaid with floral panels to the top and to the doors. The interior is fitted with three graduated drawers inlaid with mosaic and with stickware knobs. This good quality cabinet is typical of the work of Thomas Barton, who frequently used dark background veneers. A paper label for Thomas Barton is on the base.
