A circular whitewood Tunbridge Ware box with a print of the entrance to the Chain Pier, Brighton. The interior fitted with its original mirror.

The print shows the toll house on the right hand side with a triangular pediment. The original square toll house was destroyed in a storm in 1824. There are also two lamps with crown finials on the outside gateposts. These were removed in 1831 and replaced with a single lamp on the central post. It is therefore possible to date this print circa 1824 - 1831.
