A Tunbridge Ware rosewood veneered box with a panel of open lilies to the lid, which is a design associated with Thomas Barton.
The interior is un-lined and it has distinctive pins as part of the hinges, also associated with Thomas Barton and especially used on some of his small boxes from the 1880's.
