Three Colour Gold Chatelaine Watch.

Diameter: 43 mm.
A mid 18th Century French verge in a three colour gold consular case and matching chatelaine. Full plate gilt fusee movement. Finely pierced and engraved bridge cock with steel coqueret, plain three arm gilt balance with blue steel spiral hairspring. Silver regulator dial with blue steel indicator. Winding through the white enamel dial, Roman and Arabic numerals, decorative pierced gold hands. Three colour gold consular case, the back depicting scene of a sheep, basket and agricultural implements within an oval surrounded by a line engraved ground with swags. Matching three colour gold chatelaine, plain gold clip folded over to form the large three colour gold cartouche. This similarly decorated to the watch with an oval scene depicting a dog and cornucopia in a formal garden. From this hangs three further smaller cartouches each with a slightly different scene within an oval border.
An attractive chatelaine and watch in excellent overall condition.
