A rare pair of gilt and scarlet painted tole tea canisters. Of octagonal form with facets featuring polychrome painted Chinese figure within a gilt cartouche. Each is numbered 22 and 24 respectively. stamped on the underside 'G. Sutcliffe, make Manchester'. English early 19th century; 1830.
