Stunning dated ‘Pique’ Turtleshell and unmarked Silver snuffbox.
Superb George 1st Turtle Shell and silver snuff box dated 1726 on the back with the initials RS. The Turtle Shell inlaid in Silver and Gold Pique Work of a Gentleman with a Sword in French or Italian costume. The hinge is superb and the turtle shell perfect with no defects. The lid closes like the day it was made! A superb rare dated box in fine condition throughout. 1726.
