Sterling Silver Hester Bateman Style Teapot London 1969 by Charles Fox.
A very fine quality handmade copy of a late eighteenth century teapot by the lady silversmith Hester Bateman of London made in London in 1969 by Charles Fox. The teapot which looks virtually unused has beautiful hand engraving and has a large capacity of 2 UK pints (1136 ml). The weight is an impressive 21 Troy ozs so it is probably about 50 percent heavier than the original. The handle and finial are hand carved fruitwood as in the original.
