A rare county measure, stamped beneath by the maker 'I (J) Savidge Tower Street London', and engraved to the copper bands 'Cambridge In The County of Cambridge' beneath a crown and ''The Standard Winchester Bushel'. The base band engraved with the date 1779, the ash body stamped BB beneath a crown. The wood wormed and rotten at the base. (Now fitted with a round of oak to render the thing in some way serviceable.
