A pair of French gilt bronze mounted rosewood and kingwood parquetry bombe tables de nuit / bedside cabinets / tables late 19th century in the Louis XV style stamped Gillows.

The Sarrancolin marble tops of serpentine form surrounded by a looped strapwork above a bombe shaped rosewood body enclosing two drawers inlaid sans traverse in kingwood with trellis panels, within keeled corners and foliate cast gilt bronze chutes, over a shaped mounted apron raised on cabriole legs running to scroll sabots.

Finished to all facades these night / side tables are able to stand freely within the room if needed. One drawer stamped Gillows with the pair having slight variations in escutcheon and lock height between the two.

These are a superb quality pair having mahogany drawer linings and supplied working keys. Offered in excellent condition these bedside tables / cabinet have a wonderful colour and are extremely rare to the market.
