A fine engraving after the work by Sir Edward Coley Burne-Jones, 1st Bt (1833-1898).
'Spring' which is also known as 'Flora'; printed proof before titles, published circa 1900, and within a period reeded mahogany frame.
In fine condition, with the original framer's mount.

Edward Coley Burne-Jones was an artist closely associated with the Pre-Raphaelite group and a collaborator with William Morris, the pair working together on many projects and producing tapestries, stained glass windows and designs. Burne-Jones was very much influenced by the art of the Italian Renaissance, particularly that of Botticelli and Mantegna; his artistic career being influenced by Dante Gabriel Rossetti.
