About the object
Four antique, Regency period Spode 'Money Tree' plates, plus one without charge due to condition; two hairline cracks at the rim, (although the plate still rings) and one small chip to a foot rim.
The gilding and overglaze decoration is good and strong throughout.
English circa 1820.
8.25 inches diameter.
This Imari influenced decoration is also known as 'Rock and Tree' or 'Tree of Life'; the pattern is apparently to be found in Buckingham Palace.
