A very early watercolour of Snowdonia, painted in 1807 , it has a very modern feel and quality. The son of the painter J Barber (1757-1811) he worked most of his life in Birmingham.
He exhibited in London from 1810 and was Secretary of the Birmingham Academy in 1814 and a member of the Birmingham Society.
