A rare small Pier Cabinet in highly figured woods attributable to George Bullock. Brass mounted and with an Ormolu gallery of great quality, the cabinet is veneered in a number of different woods, each used to great effect. Burr Elm, Amboyna, Pollard Oak and Wavy Maple.
A drawing for a near identical Cabinet exists in Bullock's hand and the brass inlaid frieze is represented in Wilkinson's Tracings and on a pair of Cabinets supplied by Bullock to the Duke of Atholl at Blair Atholl.
