A fine and rare George II/Early George III mahogany bureau bookcase of rare small size, (often referred to as a ‘Lady’s Bureau’). The top half with cavetto cornice above a mirrored door which encloses bookshelves and the lower half with fall-flap over a fitted interior and with four long graduated drawers below. Original condition including the glass mirror and handles.
A most attractive and rare piece of desirable compact proportions and good colour. Recently removed and fresh to the market from a delightful old rectory in the Kent countryside.
