Silvia De Bastiani was born in Feltre in 1981. She currently lives and works in Valle del Primiero, Trento.
In 2004 she graduated in Painting at the Accademia di Belle Arti in Venice; in 2007 she got a master degree in Visual and Performing Arts. From 2007 until 2012 she has been working as an assistant professor to the Anatomy Drawing course run by Prof. Mauro Zocchetta at the Accademia di Belle Arti in Venice. Since 2008 she has been teaching Watercolour Painting at the Accademia Cignaroli in Verona.
In addition, she runs watercolour workshops en plein air.
Her artworks are mainly on large scale, paper support and her speciality is watercolour painting.
Her artistic research mainly focuses on nature and notably on mountains subjects.
