Dated: 1815 Yorkshire England
This extraordinary pottery puzzle jug is decorated over its complex form with a silver luster. This elaborate piece is relief molded, and with reticulated patterns in the center and top rim, there is also an image of an angel on the side.
The jug is one of the rarest forms of silver luster and was probably the work of the Leeds Pottery in Yorkshire England.
Dimensions: 12 inches high
Current Condition: Body in exceptionally fine condition with no restoration. There is some loss of silver luster on high points commensurate with age and use which does not detract from the decorative appeal of this remarkable piece.
