Silver English Massey III Lever.

An early 19th Century English Massey type three lever in a silver open face case. Full plate gilt keywind fusee movement with dust cover. Harrison's maintaining power. Plain cock inscribed "Patent" on the foot, large diamond endstone.

Polished steel regulator with silver sector index on the plate. Plain three arm gilt balance with deep rectangular rim, three timing screws, blue steel spiral hairspring. Massey type three lever escapement.

White enamel dial with subsidiary seconds, Roman numerals, blue steel seconds hand, gilt hands. Plain silver open face case with ribbed middle, maker's mark "JW" and number corresponding to that on the movement.

Hallmarked London 1828.
