An Edwardian Silver Casket in the “Renaissance” manner, of rectangular form with a stepped and hinged cover and moulded foot.
The cover is embossed in high relief and depicting a marriage contract with bystanders and party revellers looking on, the sides chased and embossed with drapes and foliate scrolls on matted ground, vacant cartouche to front, gilt interior.
Catchpole & Williams Ltd, were exhibitors at the Franco-British Exhibition of 1908 where they showed antique silver and jewellery –one item of note was the Medici collar set with rubies, diamond and pearls. They also exhibited at the 1910 Japan-British Exhibition
