Antique silver cased travelling timepiece.

The repoussé silver mount of ornate rococo decoration with acanthus scrolls. The case of scarlet leather with velvet and red silk lining and a folding easel to the back for the watch to stand.

The silver plated watch within is of 8 day duration as inscribed on the dial which has Roman numerals and a small seconds dial.

The case hallmarked Birmingham 1904, the maker, Henry Matthews of Victoria Street, Birmingham, fl.1894-1930. 

Case Height 4.5” (12cm) Width 4” (10cm).

Dial Diameter 2.25” (6cm).
