A Set of Four Venetian Etched Clear and Blue Glass Girandole Wall Mirrors.
Each of cartouche shape with marginal plates on a blue glass ground. The acanthus leaf cresting centred by a tulip flower finial. Above a pair of ‘S’-shaped candelarms with glass drip-pans. The central plates etched with allegorical figures representing the four continents:
Asia, in loose robes, holding a spear, a snake and a dragon.
Africa, in classical robes modelled as Artemis, holding a sword and a chalice.
America, a figure with grass headdress holding a bow and arrow, with an exotic bird at her feet.
Europe, a crowned figure in classical robes, holding a spear and floral cornucopia, with a globe and atlas at her feet.
