A Set of four George II silver Candlesticks, with fluted knopped stems to hexafoil bases with shell motif. The spool shaped sockets have detachable original hexafoil wax pans and the candlesticks made by the specialist candlestick maker William Gould remain in excellent condition.
Two of the candlesticks are engraved on the underside with an inscription which reads "The Gift of Mrs Davies to her Grandson Robt Hughes".
