Set of 12 French Louis XV Style Giltwood Dining Chairs.

An attractive fine quality set of a twelve French giltwood dining / salon chairs in the Louis XV style upholstered in an Irish linen.

French circa 1940.

This elegant set of 12 dining chairs have been executed in the finest manner with superior quality carving and giltwork.

The padded sprung backs and stuff over seats above diaper-incised, shell and leaf carved rails raised on leaf craved cabriole legs terminating on a scrolled French foot.

Inspired by the mid-18th Century French designs of Louis XV, a chair of fine proportions and  good comfort having a sprung seat and back.

The gilt work has a very pleasing colour and finish being recently restored by our team and re-upholstered in a fine Irish linen.

A good long set that are being increasing hard to find.
