A fine and fabulous full pile antique Senneh carpet woven in the early 20th Century in excellent original condition. This region produced some beautiful fine rugs and carpets from the North-West of Persia in varying designs from fine medallion pieces to European designs such as this example. The design on this carpet depicts stylised floral bouquets known as the 'Gol Farang' pattern, which translates to foreign flower in Farsi.  This design was mainly made for European export in the late 19th century to mid 20th.  Using classical French designs from the famous workshops in France of Aubusson and Savonnerie.  The wool is extremely soft and of exceptional quality.

Request a home visit to view this beautiful antique Senneh at home on a convenient day and time.  We have travelled all over the UK showing our carpets to private customers and designers since 1990.
