Seated Pig sterling silver sculpture.
Lucy Kinsella, Contemporary.
London.
A 'Seated Pig' sterling silver sculpture by Lucy Kinsella, the limited edition finely modelled pig sitting down with his curly tail poking out behind him, nose up in the air and mouth open, as if we’ve caught him mid oink!
He has been sculpted in Kinsella’s instantly recognisable dynamic style and demonstrates her skill at conveying personality in the animals she creates. He would make a delightfully light hearted addition to any mantle piece, table or sideboard.
Directors Notes
Born in Hampshire in 1960, Kinsella now lives in Leicestershire. As an animal sculptor inspired by Barye, Degas and Bugatti, her work ranges from delicate table-top bronzes to life-size and monumental sculpture.
Kinsella’s trademark is her expressive handling and fine detailing, capturing movement and energy. Her work is held in many collections in the UK and around the world.
