An early Scottish full with bogwood serpent grip
A fine early Scottish full dirk. The single-edged blade with faceted top rib.
The bogwood handle carved as a coiled serpent, with the two heads facing onto the lower silver mounts chased with pairs of thistles, and the engraved silver top cap including a nut finial.
The black leather scabbard with companion knife and fork with wood and silver mounts en suite to the hilt - the other silver fittings engraved and chased with thistles.
