The leather-lined surface of the shaped top s surrounded by a wide cross-banding of satinwood edged with tulip wood and sits above a central drawer over the kneehole, which is flanked by two bow-fronted end-drawers which are decorated with further cross-banding and embellished with painted flowerheads surrounding inset oval centres. These are supported on eight slender, square tapering legs which are united by raised umbrella-shaped stretchers which support small rectangular under-tiers. Drawers are fully lined in fine mahogany.
