A rare miniature version of a well known Staffordshire salt-glazed form.

A master mould for a slightly larger version in the Victoria and Albert Museum is incised 1749 RW, illustrated in White Salt-Glazed Stoneware of the British Isles, Diana Edwards and Rodney Hampson, 1988, fig. 74.
