A 19th century Swedish oval bentwood trinket box, having a lid and base of pine and the body of birch wood. The top and sides have chip carved decoration and it is constructed in the usual manner with the shaped overlap banding held in place with cane strapwork. The whole has a medium colour and retains a patination.
