An interesting boxwood brewery rule, having many various inscribed measurements for gallons, firkins, kilderkins, barrels and hogsheads. It is inscribed Loftus, maker 321 Oxford Street, London, who is listed as a well known maker of good quality pub measures to the licensed trade between 1856 and 1887. The whole has an excellent colour and patination.
