A good mid 18th century Georgian circular sycamore spice box for a single spice, having an overhanging ring turned central screw lid and raised separate knob handle. The base is of concave form with incised lines and shallow protruding foot. The underside also has circular incised lines. The whole has a lovely faded well worn patination.
