A good Scottish horn snuff mull, having a silver collar inscribed 'A Gift from a Friend' and a hinge supporting the cork lined lid with an initialled silver cartouche above a thistle with a further cartouche on the front initialled A.P.? It has a carefully fashioned curled tail, showing the skill of the horner. The whole has a rich colour and fine patination.
