A good early 19th century bullet shaped lignum vitae coffee grinder or mill in both heart and sap wood, having a top section with a small finial that reveals the spindle for the folding handle, which is housed in the lower section for travelling purposes. The grinding steel mill, which is in working order, is within the third section and the whole is seated on a short stem and rounded foot. It has a lovely grain, colour and excellent patination.
