A handsome apple wood 19th century spice pot with pyrographic decoration, having a domed and stepped fitted lid with a ball pointed finial, that sits securely on the bowl, both having incised and moulded lines and a most attractive pyrographic decoration. The whole is raised on a concave stem, which is seated on a stepped and rounded foot. It has excellent pole lathe turnings and a lovely honey colour and patination throughout.
