A decorative set of Edwardian cast iron confectionery scales, inscribed H. Webb & Co. Birmingham, with cast iron instructions 'to weigh 1-lb.'. The shaped base, painted in black, red and gold, supports the balance arm with two brass pans, and an associated selection of eight brass weights. H. Webb & Co. were established in 1848 in Aston Brook Street, Birmingham, and became a private company in 1911.
