An excellent Georgian 18th century brass taper holder or wax jack, having a metal sprung scissor action that grips the taper, which appears through a small candle holder sitting on a circular plate, that is divided into two half sections, supported on a central column with the taper coiled in the usual manner. The circular brass pierced base has a handle to one side for carrying purposes. It is a serious collector's item.
