An unusual and well turned two part fruitwood sportsman's powder keg, having a slightly oval cylindrical body with moulded turnings, that has a screw fitting acorn stopper. The body separates in two sections for filling purposes and the inside is partially blackened with powder stains. It is indistinctly signed on base, and the whole has a good colour, as often found with fruitwood items, and a pleasing patination.
