An unusual travelling circular boxwood lidded sander or pounce pot, having a screw top domed lid that reveals a multiple hole sifter, which in turn unscrews to gain access for filling the container with pounce. The whole is of tapered form with a protruding flanged and rounded plinth. It has an excellent honey colour and patination, as usually found with boxwood items.
