An urn shaped beech apothecary's mortar, having a body with a flared rim, with a protruding band and incised line decoration. The whole has a medium colour and rounded form on a flanged stem, dished platform base and a slightly rounded vertical foot. The concave underside has excellent pole lathe turnings.
