A good quality sycamore right handed invalid spoon, mentioned in Treen for the Table by Jonathan Levi on page 121, and said to be uncommon. Note the angle of the bowl in relation to the S shaped handle, which facilitates tilting into the mouth. The whole has a lovely colour and excellent patination.
