A lovely sycamore funnel, carved with initials K.1. (i.e. kitchen No. 1). Kitchen utensils used in large manor houses were often marked for the main kitchen as in this instance, or K.2. for the scullery or B.P. for the butler's pantry etc. This example has a detachable screw thread nozzle and is of excellent quality, colour and condition, with interior pole lathe turnings.
