A fine ash wimble of superior quality and design, used for twisting ropes or ties out of straw, which are required for binding corn stooks or making hay stacks. They are also known as straw twisters, thraacrooks etc. and in Cornwall called winks. The whole has an excellent colour and patination and is in good condition.
