A rare Georgian child's platter in sycamore, dating from the first half of the 18th century, having a sloping lip and recessed interior. The underside has two pole lathe turned grooves and the whole has slightly shrunk and warped, giving it a most desirable appearance for an 18th century period well used item of treen. The whole has a medium colour and excellent natural finish and patination.
