A fine large 18th Century beech serving dish, having a modest incised and lined rim. The base has a grooved edge and rounded sides, and is raised on a very shallow foot. The front, with spasmodic historic worm holes, has no knife marks, so was probably used on the table for bread or vegetables. The whole has a pale honey colour and retains a patination.
English Circa 1760.
