A well carved snuff shoe in apple wood, having borders with chip carving and the sliding lid with a plant in a vase. There remains faint colouring (red and green) between the zig zag chip carving and the front of the lid, the painted toe has three carved leaves, and it has a plain protruding heel. The whole has a soft honey colour and retains a patination.
