A fine mid 18th century cherry wood culinary bowl, having two shrinkage cracks and a well used knife marked interior. It has been obviously well treasured, as there is a large historic copper patch on the exterior, covering a blacksmith's staple which just shows on the interior. The whole has a lovely rich dark colour and amazing patination.
